URGENT (Added March 1st, 2015):
Cal Curley from Udall's office wants a list of all the groups that support the RECA Amendment Bills. He is compiling a list for the Senator to present to legislation in Washington. If your group supports Post '71 and our efforts to get this legislation passed please forward your organizations contact information to him at firstname.lastname@example.org. His phone number is (505) 346-6791. When he receives this information he will be contacting each group to confirm your support and speak to someone personally.
People that worked in uranium mines before 1971 (pre ‘71) qualify for federal aid under the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA). As you are aware people that worked in uranium mines after 1971 (post ‘71) do not qualify for this aid under RECA though they are just as sick as pre ‘71 workers.
We have reorganized and formed a new committee to regenerate interest in RECA for post ‘71 miners, mill workers, and transporters. We are in the process of gathering data on illness and disease of post ‘71 workers.
We are in serious need of your help!
